The 15120/15245 National is a single-row tapered roller bearing. This type of bearing derives its name from the tapered rollers positioned between the inner and outer rings, with raceways that are conical in shape. This design facilitates the accommodation of combined loads, supporting significant radial and axial loads in one direction. The greater the contact angle, the higher the axial load capacity.

The 15120/15245 National is straightforward to assemble and disassemble, comprising a cup and a cone. The cone unit includes an inner ring with cage and roller set, while the cup constitutes the outer ring. Single-row tapered roller bearings feature an open design. Due to their internal construction, they must be mounted in a mirror-image arrangement alongside a second tapered roller bearing. Paired bearing sets can also be configured in X, O, or tandem arrangements.
