Product description

The 2735X Timken is a cup designed for use in single-row tapered roller bearings. This component serves as the outer ring and is intended to be combined with a separately available cone (the cage with rolling elements) to assemble a complete tapered roller bearing. Both the inner and outer rings, along with the rollers, have conical raceways, enabling the bearing to accommodate radial and axial forces in one direction. A larger angle between the outer ring and the bearing centre line provides greater axial load capacity.

The design of tapered roller bearings minimises sliding between raceways and rollers, thus reducing component wear. For proper operation, a minimum load is necessary. Since the cone and cup are separable, they can be assembled independently. Axial clearance (end play) or preload may be adjusted by axially moving the components during assembly.

For optimal compatibility, it is generally advisable to use cones and cups from the same manufacturer. Combining the 2735X Timken cup with a matching cone from Timken aligns material, tolerance, and internal profile specifications.
