SPEEDI-SLEEVE
The SKF SPEEDI-SLEEVE is a quick solution for repairing worn shafts, offering a superior sealing surface without the need for remetalizing or extensive machining. Made of thin, high quality stainless steel (0.011" thick), it fits shaft diameters from .472" to 8" (12–200 mm) and has a wear-resistant finish. Installation is fast—simply clean the shaft, measure an undamaged section in three places, and select the right sleeve size based on the average diameter. Optional sealant or filler can be used for deeper grooves. The sleeve is installed using the included tool; if necessary, the flange can be removed as directed. After ensuring there are no burrs and lubricating the sleeve, proceed with seal installation.
To determine the correct size, thoroughly clean the shaft and measure the undamaged counterface in at least three places. Choose the sleeve size corresponding to the mean value within the product table’s permissible range for a secure fit—no adhesive needed.
