The 3120 NTN is an outer ring (cup) for single-row tapered roller bearings, designed to pair with a matching cone (sold separately). Its conical raceways and rollers enable it to handle both radial and axial loads in one direction, with axial capacity increasing at greater contact angles. The design reduces sliding and wear but requires minimum load for optimal function. Cup and cone are separable for easy assembly and preload adjustment. For best performance, replace both parts together using the same manufacturer's components to avoid fit and tolerance issues.
